In 2024 the UNC System implemented a policy requiring all system institutions to adhere to a practice of institutional neutrality. According to this policy, NC State, its subdivisions and its employees cannot communicate on behalf of the university with regard to “matters of contemporary political debate” or “political controversies of the day.” For more information, consult the UNC System policy linked above.
